Bob Iger, the CEO of The Walt Disney Company, has been named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People for 2023. Iger has had an impressive career spanning decades with ABC and Disney. He was appointed as President and COO of Disney in 2000 before becoming CEO in 2005. Under his leadership, Disney acquired Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox.
In a recent interview, Iger spoke about his time at Disney and how its values have kept it standing through the years. “We are a company built on storytelling and we believe in using our platform to tell stories that inspire people around the world," he said. "Our values are timeless and they will continue to guide us into the future."
Iger also discussed how technology has changed the way people consume entertainment over the past few decades. “The way people watch movies and TV shows has changed drastically since I joined Disney," he said. "We've had to adapt quickly to keep up with consumer demand for streaming services like Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. We're committed to providing our customers with an immersive experience no matter what device they use."
